Getting To and From JSConf
To make your journey to JSConf a little nicer, Nokia is sponsoring airport shuttles to and from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and the Omni Amelia Island for you. Please review our schedules and details and ensure you understand how this will all work before arriving at JAX as you might need to wait for a bus OR find other means of transportation based on your time of arrivals/departures.
Track B Registration Now Open
One of the most unique components of JSConf US has always been our blend of curated content (Track A - Yammer Track) and our amazing attendee submitted content (Track B - SpringSource Track). Some of the greatest talks from JSConf US have come from the Track B line up and its not surprising once you look at the amazing things everyone is doing. The registration process for Track B is being done, much like it always has, on a first come, first speaking basis - meaning if you are the first to the slot (and provide all the necessary information), then you are speaker for that slot. Your talk can be about anything so long as it conforms to the Code of Conduct AND is being presented by a ticketed JSConf US Attendee(s).
Changing the Game - Results Of #15ForAda
JSConf US 2013 attendees and organizers raised $5,000 for the Ada Initiative, who advised the organizers on how to attract more women and improve diversity overall. Attendees contributed $2,550 directly, and the JSConf organizational team matched 50% of attendee donations, as well as donating a further $1,175 to bring the total to $5,000. The JSConf organizers hope to set a strong precedent for other conferences by becoming an active agent for positive social change. Read all about how, why, and the outcome from our #5kForAda Campaign.
The #15ForAda Campaign
Read all about support and sponsorship of the Ada Initiative as part of the JSConf US 2013 ticket sales. We want to encourage people to help by tweeting/facebook/g+'ing the reasons they support diversity in computing with the hashtag #15forada.
Meet The New JSConf US
The 2013 edition of JSConf US will feature a whole new event organization and style. We have been working through many of the details in order to provide you with what we believe will be a tremendously inspirational, educational, and social event unlike any other. Read on for more details.
JSConf US 2013 Tickets
One of the most exciting and often complained about items of JSConf is the scarcity of tickets and the process of procuring them. This is a natural problem that occurs with each successful year of running JSConf as more people both become interested in JS and aware of JSConf. This year we are trying out a completely new way of registering for tickets for JSConf US 2103.
Call For Speakers
Introducing a brand new format for this year's call for speakers, we will have a day of "alumni" speakers that are selected based on your votes. We will also have a day of all new speakers driven by our standard call for speakers process (now open).
A JSConf Reflection
A letter from JSConf US curators, Chris and Laura Williams about how JSConf US 2013 will be a drastic different and new style of technical conference event. Also announcing the dates and location for conference itself, this the first peek at the all new JSConf.
